A New Pub Game
Whispers is a quick-playing card game for 2 to 8 players, set in the Vinlant universe. It is presented as a New World version of a dice game from the Old World. We’re pleased to offer two versions of the deck, as well as complete rules below. You can also make your own deck from two Poker decks, or from one UNO deck, or even using cards from your copy of Pirate’s Bluff.
The Whispers deck contains 54 cards, including eight copies each of the numbers 1 through 6, plus six “whispers,” which can be any other card. If you’re using two poker decks, you can use all the cards valued Ace through 6, and six Jacks for the Whispers.
The decisions in Whispers are quick and simple, and the action is fast and chaotic. It’s a great game for your favorite group of risk takers!
The two versions of Whispers are the Traditional / Standard deck, which resembles a modern poker deck, and the Illustrated deck, which has artwork on every card. Choose the style that is right for you.

About the Game: Whispers, also known as Ageda Brava, was invented at the Protospiel at DunDraCon in February 2023. The rules are still in development, and we expect new variants and even complete new games for this deck in the near future. About the Setting: Vinlant is a colonial-era fantasy setting, with a wizard’s school (it is featued in Enter the Catacombs, a short story at the Library). Look for more short fiction, including a story about Whispers, coming soon.
